Join with me in welcoming Khole Matthews to Magnolia! Khole was saved during Morning Worship on Mother’s Day, May 13, and her baptism will be scheduled for soon after VBS on June 4-8. Khole, who will enter the 4th grade at Longleaf next year, is the daughter of Ryan and Tricia Matthews, the granddaughter of Ronnie and Anita Karraker, the great-granddaughter of Pat and Louise McAdams, and the sister of Phoebe and Time Matthews. Welcome Khole!
Larry Burge, Caden Kellow, Vicki Shoemake, Jason Shoemake, David Townsend, Dr. Donald Townsend and I will depart early Sunday morning for Sula, Santa Barbara, Honduras to help the Tabernacle Church to construct their new auditorium. We will return on Saturday, June 3, ready to share the Honduras trip through pictures and testimonies during Evening Worship.
Please pray for the trip, for the people and ministries of Tabernacle Church, for Missions Director Dr. John David Smith who will serve with us for a portion of the week, and for the people of Magnolia who will lead in the services while the team is away. John Swilley will speak during Morning Worship on May 27, Glen Adcox that night, EdCrockett on the following Wednesday night, and Sherry Knue, Gary Beech, and Kyle Piercy will care for the church building. Kyle Piercy will also provide the transportation for the team to the New Orleans airport.
May God keep both church families safe, Tabernacle and Magnolia, during the mission week, and use our joint service to further His work worldwide and to bring glory to His name!
Please use enfolded leaflet to invite children to the June 4-8 Vacation Bible School, and please pray for Director Charlotte Townsend and her team of workers as they prepare to minister to children throughout the VBS week!
